"ONEOUI"

Low fire bisque only with hand painted surface..hand built.

To the ancient Greeks, ONEOUI WAS A MALE ENTITY KNOWN AS:
"THE GOD OF DREAMS," and not to be taken light heartedly. He wielded amazing powers in the underworld near the Gates of Ivory and the Gates of Horn. He was not evil! In the Greek World & Mythology, the underworld was a place that caused certain dreams that were affected by the two gates: Ivory & Horn.

He was enlightening, as the Greek name Foti' [phos] means light. A common Greek word even today. Similarly fotiya' means fire in the real sense of flames. Inside us all is a flicker of a flame that never goes out and can ignight a powerful force of light or creativity. My work is about light and life.
