Mesa Verde Black-on-white Pottery Workshop
Participants gain a hands-on understanding of how pottery was produced hundreds of years ago. Under the direction of two gifted craftsmen and scholars at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, you'll create replica vessels of local clay, forming them by hand using the coil-construction method of the ancients. British Studio Ceramics
A unique opportunity to see a superb range of pots that show the
development of studio ceramics in Britain over the last 100 years. About 70 pieces will be on show, including classic examples by well-known names such as Bernard Leach, Lucie Rie and Hans Coper, as well as less familiar potters, like Geoffrey Whiting and Malcolm Pepper. The exhibition coincides with the publication of British Studio Ceramics by Paul Rice and all of the pots on display feature in this book.
