Michael Moore
Irish ceramist.

Michael Moore is an Irish ceramist and teacher. He earned a Bachelor of Art from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 1990 and a Master of Art from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, in 2002. Moore is a member of Irish Contemporary Ceramics, the Artist’s Association of Ireland and the International Academy of Ceramics. He has been Reader in Ceramics, Fine and Applied Art, University of Ulster at Belfast, School of Art and Design, since 2003. He has won several awards, including a University of Ulster Internal Research Grant to attend the Medalta international artists-in-residence program in Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada in 2004.

Moore makes highly polished, abstract sculpture inspired by contemporary architecture and the Irish landscape and coastline.
