Firing: unglazed stoneware, wood fired in an Anagama kiln
I have been firing exclusively with wood as fuel
and building wood fired kilns for many years. I strive to get
the rich colors and effects of the flame on each piece I make.
My goal is to use the wood firing process along with local clays
and clay mixtures to give each piece of work a sense of time and
place which reflect on the artist's growth within a given time
and place.
