Online Magazine Update

Dateline: 12/08/97

A few things have been happening since our last review of online ceramics magazines. Not only do the mags we already know have new content, but a few newcomers have made it onto the scene. First the new content.

Ceramics Art and Perception magazine has moved to a new server and is updating its current features much more regularly than was previously the case. The current online issue offers an an article on the virtual ceramics project Imagined Landscapes, The Tasman Map Reconfigured, with a new article to be added soon. Ceramics Technical has an article on Paperclay on offer. This has been up for a while, but certainly provides fascinating reading if you haven't already checked it out. An article by Alistair Whyte on Tools and Tool Making for Porcelain will be appearing there soon.

Minnesota Clay USA issues new online versions of its magazine quarterly, so now you can check out the Winter '97 issue, which features aricles on the Hillcrest Pottery, Mid Range Stoneware Maiolica, Making Molds and other stuff.

Clayworld.com is a "resource of information for all facets of the clay business" and offers articles on Tom Coleman, Successfully Drying Sanitaryware, a virtual tour of Tennessee tile manufacturer Tile cera, and other articles.

Of interest is also Ceramitec, a relatively new online ceramics mag from Mexico. The current issue features information on a Portuguese Glaze Technique, overglazes and a kilns page.
