Comments: Blended chun and magnesia glaze which gives a chun at cone 9-10. Intense pale opalescent blue without iron; with 1% black iron gives an intense mid-blue. Watch fluidity when near cone10. Good over iron or cobalt glazes. One of my most versatile glazes. At cone 9 oxidation, a stable slightly 'sugary' opaque satin surface, very stable with stains and oxides. Needs medium-thick application for best effect, but can be applied thinly if desired. For best chun effect, reduce fairly heavily from cone 07 to about cone 3, then maintain an even and medium reducing atmosphere until cone 8. Soak in either neutral or lightly reducing atmosphere from cone 8 to cone 10, taking 40 - 60 minutes to mature the glaze.

Thanks to Chris Sanders for providing the above glaze.
