You can try it with any red clay. This recipe substitutes a recipe with lithium carbonate.
To get the yellow breaking brown I had to add 1 RIO. You might not need it if your local red clay has more than 7% Fe2O3. Use on buff clay body.

Both recipes must be like "sour cream". You better add CMC just before use, apply several times until the glaze crakles (i.e. before the firing). The CMC will help it to stay on the ware. As times passes you will learn how much or which of the two you prefare. I like #6

The glaze feels like touching plastic it is milky as clear and delicate turqouise.

A kind of silky clear mottled glaze ( the fluor in the cryolite has a mottling efect) While firing the fluor fumes are not healthy! Make as much as you need for one session. Looks different thin or thick!
